Happy Holidays and New Year!

NJ Randonneurs had 94 different brevet participants in 2005 - most rode more than one event! With the foundation I setup, I'm hoping the same and more volunteers come forward to continue to make the events safe and fun. Remember, Paris-Brest-Paris is in 2007 and BMB is in it's last year under the direction of Jennifer Wise. I encourage all to participate in BMB either as a 1200K, 1000K, 200K or Quad Centuries. I love Vermont ... my birthplace. It's one of the best places to ride!

Please note 2006 brevet changes:

The 2006 NJ brevet series will NOT be a complete series but Tom Rosenbauer and Laurent Chambard will be offering populaires, 200Ks and 300Ks. RUSA has restricted their calendars.

Tom Rosenbauer is the RBA for a newly created region: Eastern PA. (trosenbauer@rcn.com).
Laurent Chambard is the RBA for NJ/NYC. (njrando@verizon.net).

Routes should remain close to previous years with minor changes to improve (i.e. controle points).
Leroy Varga and Steve Hallet are several returning volunteers. Although rides have been restricted, there will be "other" rides offered, so, keep an eye on this site ... and join the message board.

Official calendar can be found at www.rusa.org under "Rides." NJ Randonneurs' site will also include the calendar, photos, training ride info, results and all other info as previous years. As Tom and Laurent plan, I will post the details of these events to www.njrandonneurs.com.

Diane Goodwin (former RBA) will continue as webmaster and owner of NJ Randonneurs. There will be a link to sign up as an official member of NJ Randonneurs. This will allow members to hold training rides in all three states. Other perks, like bicycle shop discounts, clothing, water bottles, etc... will be available as well.

I will continue to answer brevet questions via email as best I can ... please keep in mind that Laurent and Tom are the ride organizers and they look forward to answering your questions.
